BROWNSBURG, Ind. (August 26, 2024) – It was a North Dakota homecoming for Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing’s Donny Schatz, continuing their World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series championship quest with back-to-back Peace Garden State starts at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks and Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo on Friday and Saturday, August 23-24.
Although bad luck kept the team short of their ultimate potential, losing a tire with four laps remaining at Red River Valley, Donny Schatz and TSR still managed to leave North Dakota with a top-five to their credit, finishing fifth at the always-exciting River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks on Friday. The ten-time World of Outlaws champion commenced main event competition from 11th on the grid, concluding with his 25th point-earning top-five of the year in 48 point-earning main event starts.
As noted, a late-race tire issue forced Schatz to slow with four remaining on Saturday; he was ultimately scored 11th.
With all results tallied, Schatz remains second in the 2024 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series championship standings, which is padded by a recent victory at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota. The Fargo, North Dakota, native trails David Gravel by 110 markers heading into Huset’s Hustle and High Bank Nationals weekend.

Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing and Donny Schatz will continue their 2024 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with a trip to South Dakota, commencing action with the rescheduled Huset’s Hustle presented by Folkens Brothers Trucking finale on Friday, August 30, all before the BillionAuto.com Huset’s High Bank Nationals presented by Menards on August 31-September 1. The weekend finale will award $100,000.
