The top-ten sweep pushed Schatz’ top-ten count to 21 on the season, 11 of which recorded within the top-five, two of those being victories.
A solid Friday result, nonetheless, it was Saturday’s return to Atomic Speedway that produced an even more impressive outcome, perfecting an 11-position rally through the field to finish ninth in the final rundown. Even more head-turning, Schatz started 20th on Saturday’s grid via Last Chance Showdown, driving ahead six positions in said event to find a way into the evening’s Xtreme Chillicothe Classic finale.
After an off day on Sunday, the ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion resumed his 2024 World of Outlaws campaign with a return visit to Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, on Monday, May 27.
