BROWNSBURG, Ind. (May 14, 2018) – Reaching a level of performance that now includes 15 top-ten finishes in 23 events, Tony Stewart is certainly mastering consistency. The Columbus, Ind., native powered on to score a trio of top-ten finishes during the recent weekend, two of which resulting in podium performances, all while mixing starts between 360c.i. sprint car competition and 410c.i. competition.

Stewart, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Rush Truck Centers/Textron Off Road/Ford Performance/Curb Records/Sage Fruit/No. 14 sprint car, kicked-off his long, three-race weekend with a pair of ASCS National Tour starts in Kansas, joining the elite, 360c.i. racers at Humboldt Speedway and Lakeside Speedway on May 9-10, respectively. Smoke finished third during each of his ASCS appearances, actually leading the vast majority of the main event at Lakeside Speedway, laps 2-19, before giving up the top spot to eventual winner, Seth Bergman.

Resulting in his first of two hard charging performances of the extended weekend, Smoke climbed ahead from eighth to finish third at Humboldt Speedway on Wednesday. It was not the first time Stewart climbed from eighth to finish third that evening, actually doing so during his respective heat race to earn the program’s highest passing points total.

Joining the competitive, local roster at Knoxville Raceway on Saturday, Stewart capped off his three-race sweep with an eighth place finish during 410c.i. action. The three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion started the 20-lapper from the outside of row nine, forced to start that deep after suffering from a ‘DNF’ during heat race competition; the result of mechanical misfortune.

“I’m proud of this race team. We’re showing speed and versatility, and that’s most important. We’ve been all over the map this year, but we’re learning a lot while doing it,” Tony Stewart said. “We were close with the ASCS during each of the programs we entered. We’ll keep digging and the wins will come.”

Tony Stewart will continue his 2018 campaign with a pair of Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1/IRA Outlaw Sprint Series Challenge starts in the Badger State, first visiting the Plymouth Dirt Track at Sheybogan County Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 19, followed by a stop at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie on Sunday, May 20. The IRA/All Star Challenge programs will each award a $5,000 top prize.

In addition, MAVTV Motorsports Network will be recording the events, set to broadcast via tape-delay on September 2 and September 9, respectively.
